You’re likely familiar with the bigger multi-resort ski passes like the Ikon Pass, Epic Pass, and The Mountain Collective, but are you familiar with the Indy Pass? If you love skiing at independently-owned mountains, look no further than the Indy Pass, described as “the spirit of alpine skiing at independent resorts.” The Indy Pass features 2 all-day or all-night passes at any of its over 270 ski areas (they are guaranteeing 300 for 26/27), 25% off your third day, 2 trail passes at Indy’s cross-country skiing resorts, and discounted tickets at allied resorts. Buy early, however, as this ski pass is only on sale for a limited time.
2025/26 pass holders get first dibs on the 2026/27 pass, which went on sale March 1. Not a current pass holder? Hang tight and join the wait list, Indy Pass will be announcing new pass sales soon. Just make sure you act fast, as they’re only selling a limited number of passes.
“Indy Pass has experienced remarkable growth and with that growth comes responsibility,” said Indy Pass Director Erik Mogensen. “We must continue to grow our pass holder base thoughtfully while respecting capacity limits and preserving the uncrowded atmosphere our partner resorts are known for. Our goal with this process is to make sure we can get as many people off the waitlist as soon as possible.”
New For The 2026/27 Season
For the 2026/27 season, Indy Pass is offering a whopping 300 resort guarantee. That means that if the number of Indy Pass partner resorts in under 300 by November 1, 2026, pass holders can request a refund before December 1. So far, they’ve announced new partnerships with 16 resorts, eight of which are in North America. Indy Pass also announced a price reduction to their flagship product, the Indy+ Pass. At $399 it’ll offer more access and zero blackout dates for a more affordable price.
Indy’s Learn-to-Turn Pass, which is geared to introducing beginners to skiing and riding, will return for its second year in a row. Pricing or additional benefits have not been announced yet, but last season, it provided three days of lift tickets, lessons, and rentals for $189. If you purchased a Learn-to-Turn pass during the 2025/26 season, Indy Pass will be offering renewal pricing for their pass products.

Who Owns The Indy Pass?
The Indy Pass, launched by Doug Fish, owner of Fish Marketing in Oregon, came about in 2019 as a less expensive alternative to the major ski passes. It features smaller, independent ski areas that you won’t find on other passes. As such, it’s not owned by a corporation like some of the other multi-resort passes. Indy Pass was acquired in 2023 by Entabeni Systems, while Doug Fish continues to be involved.
More Ski Areas Continue To Grow Indy Pass
The Indy Pass has announced that the following new resorts are joining for the 2026/27 ski season: Les 7 Laux, France; Bergbahnen Hohsaas AG, Switzerland; Valmorel, France; Stöten i Sälen, Sweden; Levi, Finland; Murray Ski Ridge, BC; Pebble Creek Ski Area, ID; Thrill Hills, ND; Stranda Ski Resort, Norway; Bethel Village Trails XC, ME; Franconia Inn & Outdoor Center XC, NH; Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center XC, NH; Northern Maine Community Trails XC, ME; Steamboat Ski Touring Center XC CO; Haymaker Nordic Center XC, CO; and The Loppet XC, MN.
Indy Pass said it will continue to add resorts during the off-season, but this list is promising for those seeking increased access or year-round skiing, as the snowpack in Scandinavia and Europe is often available after season’s end in North America.
Indy Pass Ski Areas
Indy Pass has continued to add tons of new ski areas each season from across the world. There are now more than 270 ski areas worldwide that are on the Indy Pass, with that expected to only grow in the coming years. See where you can use the Indy Pass in North America and beyond.

How The Indy Pass Works
The Indy Pass wasn’t a physical pass during its first few years. Indy Pass issued a commemorative RFID pass to each pass holder starting in the 2023-24 season. Alternatively, digital passes are available through the app.
Indy Pass Cost
Current Indy Pass holders can renew their pass for as low as $349. To do so, scan the QR code on the physical pass itself or log in to your account and begin the renewal process there. Unlike many of the other multi-resort passes, the Indy Pass is on sale for just a short period of time during the spring, so act fast to secure yours.
The following prices pertain to those looking to renew their pass:
Indy Base Pass: Adults $349; Kids (3-12) $249. This pass includes some blackout days.
Indy+ Pass: Adults $399; Kids $229. There are no blackout dates with this pass.

What Else To Know
Digital Pass: Indy Pass launched a digital pass starting for the 24/25 ski season, allowing skiers and riders to go directly to the lifts. This expedites their visits to many ski areas by allowing them to go directly to the lifts.
Payment Plan: Pass buyers can pay for their passes over three months with no interest. The Indy Pass Payment Plan is fully managed by Indy Pass, meaning it comes with zero interest, no credit checks, and no third-party lenders, unlike some of the other passes.
Capacity Limits: As the Indy Pass continues to grow in popularity, a capacity limit has been implemented to ensure fewer crowds at the participating resorts.
300 Resort Guarantee: Indy Pass officials have declared a guarantee of 300 resorts or your money back for the 26/27 season. Passholders may request a refund before December 1, 2026, if the number of Indy Pass resort partners is less than 300 by November 1, 2026. A passholder can also request a refund for an unused pass by December 1, 2026, if their favorite resort from the 25/26 season does not renew for 26/27.
Lodging: Discounts are available at a range of lodging properties.
