Sasquatch Mountain Resort is nestled in the coastal mountains of British Columbia, and is just over a two-hour drive from Vancouver, Canada. The ski area offers visitors a good mix of beginner to advanced terrain. Hemlock Resort contains large, wide groomed trails with steep expert runs and open alpine bowls.
The resort is known for being extremely family friendly and offers ski and snowboard schools for all ages. The ski area also contains a down to earth atmosphere and is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of larger mega-resorts.
Spanning two mountain peaks and home to a multitude of different types of trails, Sasquatch Mountain Resort offers skiers and riders terrain for all ability types. The resort is located deep in British Columbia’s coastal mountains and receives a good amount of average snowfall each year.
The terrain is set up so that beginners and advanced skiers and riders are able to share the same chairlift but access a variety of terrain suitable for varying ability types. The trails at Hemlock are wide open and provide little protection from strong winds and snowstorms.
The average annual snowfall is 30-35 feet with a vertical drop of 396 m (1,300 ft) from summit to base and the longest run being 1.4 miles (2.3 km). Boasting terrain for all levels of skiers and riders including steeps and cliffs, big powder and big air, Hemlock even has a terrain park for those who want to practice their rail slides or jump across a tabletop.
Sasquatch Mountain Resort offers visitors terrain parks, tubing and a ski club. The resort is surrounded by spectacular scenery and serviced by a central lodge at the base. The resort provides excellent food at its cafeteria and also contains a pub for après.
