Catamount is an awesome mountain for the area! It has a wide array of terrain from a long green run down the ridge up to genuinely steep double blacks. I gave it 3 stars for 'all mountain terrain' just because it doesn't often get enough snow to enjoy the terrain off of the trails with snowmaking, but there is great terrain there when it does snow. The same rating for apres is only because there isn't a big apres scene like some mountains, but there are 2 nice bars, they have music on the weekends, and there's a great outdoor patio area with fire pits. I've seen some various complaints about price and lines, but I think it's totally unfounded. The ticket and pass prices are some of the most affordable anywhere, and the lines are generally very reasonable, and much shorter than other mountains. Occasionally there's a bit of a longer wait for tickets or rentals on a busy weekend, but that's the way it goes at ski areas sometimes. They also have been working to improve everything from buildings to lifts, snowmaking, the park, etc each year. Overall a great mountain, great for families, friendly people, fun terrain, good snowmaking, and good prices!
