Snow Reporter Comments: Last updated: Monday, December 22, 2025 at 2PM ptHappy holiday week! The extended forecast is calling for a new storm system to arrive tomorrow, bringing increasing clouds, gusty winds, and widespread rain continuing through Christmas Eve. Then, the increasing chance of snow showers will arrive towards the end of week, allowing higher elevations to see accumulating snow, especially above 9,000 feet, with several inches possible at lower elevations. Due to these conditions, weather and surface conditions will not be ideal to continue activities at Snow Valley, including snow play, snow tubing, and scenic Sky Chair rides.Bear Mountain will operate for skiing and snowboarding tomorrow, Tuesday, December 23, but will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, and Thursday, December 25, when the heaviest weather is expected. The plan is to reopen on Friday, December 26.Chair 5, Chair 7, and Chair 9 will be operating today from 8:30AM to 4PM. No additional chairs, trails, or terrain park features are expected to be added this week. Bear Mountain’s terrain park is currently stacked with 13 features, including 2 boxes, 5 rails, and 6 jibs. Riders can test their skills riding the ThirtyTwo rail on Central Park or the bonk to skate rail on Expressway.
