Snow Reporter Comments: Last updated: Monday, February 9, 6:50AMBensweather.com forecasts that we're looking at little change in weather today from the weekend, with bigger changes ahead this week as a trough of low pressure develops across the West. Our first storm does not look particularly strong, but could still squeeze out some light and rain snow ahead of a stronger storm forecast to arrive next weekend. Expect mostly clear skies, with highs in the mid-50s, west winds increasing 10-20 mph during the afternoon. A closed low-pressure system will approach the region tomorrow morning with increasing clouds and winds throughout the day. Cooler and winds with highs in the 40s, west winds gusting to around 30 mph at times. As low-pressure pushes through the area, the bulk of this storm should arrive Tuesday night and Wednesday, before exiting the area on Thursday. The snow level should start at about 7,000 feet tomorrow afternoon or evening, before lowering to near 6,000 feet late Tuesday night, then down to around 5,500 feet on Wednesday. Accumulations look relatively light with just a couple inches of snow possible. Things should dry out Thursday and Friday ahead of a potentially stronger storm arriving later in the weekend, Sunday into next week. The details of this storm are unknown at this time, but has the potential for the lowest snow levels season to date, and significant accumulations, with very, very preliminary estimates up in the 1-2 foot range!Winter looks ready to return just in time for a big holiday stretch with President’s Weekend, Valentine’s Day, and Ski Week right around the corner. Conditions on the hills are spring-like conditions with thin coverage but lots of park features to keep up the fun.Terrain park features on Upper Westridge and Zzyzx remain unchanged at this time, with no additions or removals. Snow Summit steps it up with 17 terrain park features spread across the Upper Westridge and Zzyzx trails. Upper Westridge now includes a 32 rail, Big Juicy Pole Jam, and a newly built X-Wing jump that feeds directly into the Light Pole hip. Link into Zzyzx to ride over the new Little Green Tube Moto Spine before hopping on Chair 3 for quick mid-mountain lift access to the top of the mountain.TODAY'S OPERATIONSChair 1: 9AM-4PMChair 2: 9AM-4PMChair 3: 9:30AM-3:30PMChair 4: TBDChair 7: 9AM-4PMChair 8: 9AM-4PMMC 1 (public): ClosedTrailsUpper Miracle MileLower Miracle MileBear Bottom Beginner AreaUpper Summit RunLower Summit RunUpper WestridgeZzyzxSummit ConnectionUpper Log Chute7 DownHog BackLower Timber RidgeTicket Windows, Rental Shop, Security, Tuning & Repair: 8:30AM–4:30PMRetail Shops: 8:30AM-4PMAdventure Academy: 8:30AM–4PMSnow Tubing: 10AM–3:30PMDining:Ironwood: 8AM-4PMOakfire Grill: 8AM-4PMSlopeside Speakeasy: 10AM-4PMTimber + Dough Pizza: 11AM-2PMPASS HOLDERS SAVE 50% FOR THEIR FRIENDSFor a limited time, 25/26 Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, BBMR Anytime, and Snow Valley Anytime pass holders can score 50% off (regularly 25%) Friends & Family lift tickets for any date the rest of the season when you purchase by Feb. 13.
