Snow Reporter Comments: 3/20/26 12:15 PM Update: Good afternoon! We are operating today, 3/20, with limited lifts and terrain: Chinook, Forest Queen, and Discovery are operating as scheduled. Due to increased avalanche hazards the upper mountain is closed. This includes Chair 6, Rainier Express, Green Valley, the Gondola (including Scenic Gondola, and the Summit House restaurant.) Gold Hills and Quicksilver will be closed as well. As a reminder, night skiing is done for the season. We are expecting a cooling trend accompanied by drier weather as we head into the weekend. This could help our chances to be able to open more terrain. We'll post an update on the outlook for tomorrow's operations this afternoon. Expect surfy, slushy turns today with warm weather and sprinkles throughout the day. If you’ve never given slush laps a shot, today is the day!
