Snow Reporter Comments: Last Updated: Fri 18 Jul 09:57 AM A fantastic Friday with low wind and sun shining The Peak is back!! 30 hrs of continuous snowmaking have completely transformed the mountain back into a winter playground. Silky chalky cord waits for you on our groomed M1, Hurdle and beginners' runs. The runs coming off the M1 are ungroomed, but open for exploration and those up for the challenge. Keep on eye on the weather report as we hope to reopen Rocky Gully T bar in the coming days and start to spread out our grooming. Tonight, the fun does not stop as we continue to our Canadian Club Friday Night Ski. Chase the sunset with beats on the deck.

Coronet Peak is New Zealand’s most popular ski destination, mainly due to its proximity to Queenstown. Located in the heart of the South Island of New Zealand, Coronet Peak is only a 20-minute drive from Queenstown and provides visitors with majestic views of Lake Wakatipu, Lake Hayes and The Remarkables.  Because of its extensive snowmaking facilities, Coronet Peak is one of the last ski areas to close in the Southern Hemisphere, with a season that typically runs from June to mid-October. The mountain offers great terrain for all abilities, and night skiing is also available on weekends.
