    Snow Reporter Comments

February 26, 2021: Good morning powder people! Overnight our base areas picked up 6”- 8” of new snow, with over a foot up at higher elevations. Today we are expecting the storm to rage on with consistent snow showers and strong westerly winds. Although it will be breezy, the new snow is soft, and edging will be easy. If you’re on the hunt for some steep cord, head on over to: Parachute, Triple60 Face, Hogwild, or Silver Nugget, but keep in mind that the groom is going to disappear quickly under new snow. The ever changing conditions up here in the mountains are sure to keep you on your toes, so make sure to be prepared with the appropriate clothes. Today will be a fantastic Friday of skiing and riding, see you up here soon! --Lex

Alpental Notice: The good: The top of Alpental received over 18" of new snow in the last 24 hours. This brings our season total over 500" up there! The bad: The storm was relentless overnight, with +50 mph wind gusts recorded. The ugly: Patrol will have to conduct extensive control work this morning, and we are expecting delays of at least an hour for all lifts. Thanks for your patience and cooperation, we hope to get you out on the pow ASAP!

Caution! Snow Immersion Suffocation Hazard: Please do not ride by yourself in these deep snow conditions. Snow immersion suffocation is a very real concern right now. Avoid trees, designate a partner, and always maintain close contact with your buddy.
