Summary
Last week's storm and some solid snowmaking in recent weeks have set us up nicely. We are set to weather a storm Wed/Thurs which will hopefully bring a bunch of snow at the end of it, especially on upper mtn. Road and resort are CLOSED to everyone until opening day as we have uncontrolled avalanche hazard, ongoing road snowfall/ice hazard and active machinery/snowmaking. We've a big opening day party in store for 27th June, get your gear ready and we'll see you soon.
Treble Cone Ski Area is the largest ski field on New Zealand’s South Island and is home to the longest vertical rise in Queenstown’s Southern Lakes District. Treble Cone is renowned for its dry snow, long runs, great off-piste terrain, and spectacular views. Treble Cone Ski Area is located only 35 minutes from the beautiful lakeside town of Wanaka and 90 minutes from Queenstown.
Treble Cone is located atop a 7km unpaved access road that is suitable for cars, coaches and motor homes. Be sure to check the weather report and carry chains in adverse conditions.
