John Bowers

Killington is the flagship of the East. You would have to go out west to find a mountain with the infrastructure, accommodations, skiable terrain available for all abilities and food options. The snow quality for a New England ski resort is second to none. I say this because of the incredible snow making capability that killington has, the attention to grooming and maintaining snow pack throughout the season by making mass amounts of snow to have for less natural snow fall periods. The learning to ski area is amazing for beginners or families with younger children. The amount of lifts to get you around the mountain surpasses all other ski area in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. The food quality is top notch. Whether you are eating at a base lodge or at the top of Killington Mountain, the food quality and options are great. Living in New Hampshire and skiing dozens of ski areas throughout New England my whole life, there are other great ski areas with wonderful trails, staff and accommodations, but nothing compares to the killington experience.
