Snow Reporter Comments: April is off to a stormy start! We’ve recorded 15 inches of new snow on our mid-mountain stake since Tuesday. That includes 8 inches in the last 24 hours and 6 inches overnight. Totals have been less at base so head up high for the deepest turns. The incoming snow has mostly been wet and heavy, but should lighten up today as the snow line drops along with temperatures. 3 to 7 inches of medium density snow is expected while lifts are spinning today, followed by 2 to 4 inches of blower pow tonight. Summit Express may be delayed this morning as avalanche mitigation work takes place. Please take caution while storm riding today — spring conditions exist and coverage is thin in many areas due to recent warming. Powderhorn and Apex Express terrain is experts only. Eagle Express is closed along with Sunshine Bowl. Easter weekend is almost here with a full slate of events coming your way. Join us Saturday for the Solidaze Pond Skim Beach Party on lower Main Street or slide up to the Nordic Center for the Sliver Lake Loppet. The Easter Bunny will be here Sunday along with an egg hunt on the mountain.
