Snow Reporter Comments: Today at Mt Baw Baw
22 August 2026 — There's a 60% chance of further precipitation today up at Baw Baw. Cams show the Hut Roll area holding a solid, machine-made base under the Snow Guarantee program, while conditions further up around Tank Hill and the summit remain snowless.
Hut Run Platter and the Beginner Magic Carpet are running today, keeping Hut Run open from The Roll. Summit T-Bar, Tank Hill Platter, Maltese Cross T-Bar, Painted T-Bar and Big Hill Magic Carpet all remain closed, along with the runs they serve.
All three toboggan parks and the terrain park features are closed for now. The cross-country network is in much better shape — Summit Trail, Latrobe Trail, McMillan's Trail, Tanjil Link, Beech Trail, both Village Trail loops, Mueller's Single Trail and National Park Junction are all open for a full day of touring. Resort Entry Road requires chains fitted as directed, while the alternate South Face Road is open and better suited if you're prone to travel sickness on the winding main route.
