Cardrona’s terrain spans 40 km of skiable distance with a vertical drop of 600 meters. The resort is served by 9 lifts, including McDougall’s Chondola, Captain’s Express, Willow’s Quad, and the new Soho Express. The layout is intuitive, with five distinct basins offering a mix of groomed trails, off-piste zones, and freestyle features. Snowmaking supplements natural snowfall across the Main, Captain’s, Arcadia, and Valley View basins.

Beginners will find a dedicated learning area in the Main Basin, featuring gentle slopes, surface lifts, and easy access to lessons and rentals. The terrain here is wide and forgiving, ideal for building confidence. The Base Café and childcare center are nearby, making it a convenient zone for families.

Intermediate skiers can explore Captain’s Basin and Willow’s Basin, which offer rolling terrain and consistent grooming. Trails like Shaun’s Way and Highway 89 provide smooth descents with scenic views. Soho Basin adds playful terrain with groomers and off-piste options, serviced by a high-speed six-seater.

Advanced skiers will appreciate the steeper pitches in Arcadia Basin, where natural chutes and wind lips challenge agility and control. The east-facing slopes catch early sun and hold powder well. Valley View Basin offers a mix of groomed trails and off-piste terrain, with quick bites available at Little Meg Café.

Expert skiers can hike to the ridgeline above Arcadia for access to steep chutes and technical descents. These zones are not patrolled and require avalanche awareness, but they deliver dramatic lines and solitude. The terrain is raw and rewarding, especially after fresh snowfall.

Freestyle riders are spoiled with five terrain parks and two halfpipes, including a Big Air jump and progression parks for all skill levels. The parks are maintained daily and designed for creativity and flow. Natural features across the mountain also offer freestyle opportunities for those who prefer organic terrain.
