We have been proud to provide you with free access to snow reports, resort guides and more, and we are beyond grateful for your readership and contributions to our community over the years.

Unfortunately given the changing media landscape, Mountain News Corporation has experienced financial declines in recent years. With additional economic challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic now facing our business, it is not financially viable to continue operating.

Mountain News Corporation and our OnTheSnow and Skiinfo websites will be shutting down. We will explore the possibility of selling, partnering, or contributing assets to another media outlet if there is an opportunity to allow for a consistent or enhanced online experience. Great day yesterday, basically every run was open and great coverage every where. About as good as it gets there.

Just did a night session from 7 to 10pm on Tuesday 1/10/16. Surface was packed groomed in some places and hard pack to icy in high traffic areas near the jibs and trail transitions. Around 8'clock fresh powder slowly trickled on summit to about 1/3 of the way down. By 9:15 there was a nice thin layer of powder throughout the open trails. Heavy rain on the 15 coming down from the mountain. Unfortunately a car even flipped over in the rain and dense fog. Drive safe guys! Forecast is for snow to continue wed-fri. Should be decent by the weekend.
