I’ve regular-ed Winterplace for my first season snowboarding. It’s more beginner friendly than mountains that are closer to my home. Every staff member I’ve interacted with has been amazing and there are enough runs to entertain my more advanced friends while I fall my way down the greens. Weekdays are incredible and uncrowded, and weekends are packed, but that’s to be expected.
The food is pretty unfortunate. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it was almost inedible. Lesson learned and I just bring my own food. The cookies are pretty good though. And the food trucks on the weekends are outstanding (shout out redneck hibachi ).The lodge is very drab, but I didn’t come here to sit in the lodge anyway. I appreciate that there’s enough space to accommodate the large crowds on the weekends.
Overall, I really like Winterplace and will probably buy a season pass next year.
