I always felt the place was overrated and the service reflected a "love it or lump it" mentality. Also, price was always higher than other areas. We always tried to vary between the four in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons, but the Bird saw us least by far. If they bring grooming up to snuff it would go a long ways. Full disclosure: We haven't skied the last two seasons, now prices are getting prohibitive! ... Full Review

Parked and saw no shuttles so hiked the long trek to centre. Had to walk up two flights of stairs and there was no staff to direct skiers so I went to end of long tram line @ 8:45. Got to tram at 9:50 only to have my pass not work. Went to ticket office and finally got to top of summit just after 10. Absolutely ridiculous! We then found the only way out was down the Regulator which was not groomed. Noticed that Peruvian Chair was moving when we were on tram. After skiing all blue runs and confirming on line that Chips Run was open, we skied to Peruvian only to find it closed - apparently because many skiers were ducking under ropes and skiing OB. That ended our day on a fittingly sour note. If you enjoy long lines and lousy communication this place is for you. I wias pumped to check out the hill after all the snow it got, but it was one of the worst skiing experiences I have ever had. I will never go back and will advise anyone considering going there to expect what I got. Terrible!... Full Review

Firts, the skiing is the absolute best. The lodging, pretty good as well. The costomer service, poor, the food , not commiserate with the price. The steak pit is an over priced Applebee's. I come for the skiing, that's about it. The amenities and services has been on a decline and remains that way.... Full Review

Have a timeshare at the mountain, so traffic problem does not impact us. Great setting within the canyon affords fantastic views, particularly sunsets. Wide variety of challenging terrain and great snow conditions. Crowds can be an issue on POW days, but we have been skiing here for over 10 years and can find hidden powder stashes and lift lines do settle down a few hours after the opening bell.... Full Review

Spent 350$ for two tickets Dec. 30th. Completely under stuffed, fraction of the terrain open despite best snow conditions. Spent 90% of my day waiting in long lines. Snowbird was great once, now it just sucks. Stay away. ... Full Review

Our family has skied snowbird for over 20 yrs, but considering buying passes to Alta from now on. Snowbird has been soooo lazy to get even the lower lifts open on time most days. It's becoming embarassing as a local to have a pass at snowbird. Get it together Snowbird... Full Review
