Sugar Mountain sits at a base elevation of 4,100 feet and climbs to a summit elevation of 5,300 feet. The ski area features 125 acres of skiable terrain across 21 trails. Sugar Mountain offers 100% snowmaking coverage and night skiing/snowboarding across 100 acres and 15 trails. Other winter activities include tubing, ice skating and snowshoeing. Lodging options at Sugar Mountain include rooms, condos and homes at the Village of Sugar Mountain. Where is Sugar Mountain Ski Resort Located? Sugar Mountain Resort is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, less than two hours from Asheville, North Carolina. You can fly into the Asheville Regional Airport, and then drive from there.
