Snow Reporter Comments: What a day. We woke up to 3 inches of fresh snow at the summit, and the sunshine hung around much longer than expected. Conditions are in a really sweet spot right now, fresh snow paired with smooth groomed runs. Temps tonight are expected to stay below freezing before a slight warm-up on Wednesday. Look for a high of 38° at the base and 30° at the summit, with mostly cloudy skies and some wind, especially in the morning.Overnight, the snow cats will be out laying down corduroy across most open terrain. Can't Dog and Big Dipper are expected to remain ungroomed heading into Wednesday.South Peak OperationsSouth Peak lifts, lodges, and terrain will be closed starting Monday, March 23 through Thursday, March 26. Loon Mountain ski resort is located in Lincoln, New Hampshire, within the scenic White Mountain National Forest. The ski area is within a two-hour drive of Boston and Manchester and a four-hour drive from Providence.
