Base Lodge Regulation

ONLY passholders and ticket holders will have access to the lodges and you will need to show your pass just like you do at the chairlift. Building capacity will be monitored and very limited with a :30 minute time limit. Lodges will not be accessible outside of the hours below.

Lodge Hours:
8am - 5pm Weekends / Holidays
8:30am - 4:30pm Midweek / Non-Holiday

No bags, shoes or personal belongings may be left inside or around the outside of the buildings, so plan to gear up at your car. If you need to walk to the lodge in shoes or bring food, plan to take it with you in a small backpack when you leave the lodge. All unattended items will be removed.

Lift Regulations

  • Arrive together, Ride together. Please only ride the lifts with those in your travel group or household. If you arrived alone, ride the lift alone. Self-grouping will be done by guests if they choose and masks will be required. We will not be grouping people together. Singles lanes and lesson-only lanes have been eliminated.
  • To accommodate for proper social distancing, the wait times for lifts will likely be a bit longer and the length of each line may appear to be longer too. Please be patient and courteous with fellow skiers/riders/lift attendants. Everyone is in this together!
  • Face coverings (over nose and mouth) are required in liftlines, while riding lifts with others outside of your household or travel group and when unloading lifts.
  • Backpacks must be removed before loading the lift.

Food & Beverage locations will still be available. Cafeterias will operate grab & go style (no cook to order or served food). The Cannonball Pub will be open for restaurant style service with limited capacity. While seated and socially distanced, you may remove your face covering and eat your own food in the lodges. Brown Bag style lunches only, no coolers allowed. Please note that all belongings and food must leave with you when you exit the building and may NOT be stored outside and around the building (hint hint.. wear a small backpack)

Cannonball Pub
Will operate restaurant style with its full bar and a reduced food menu. It will be seated service only (no seats at the bar) with a 45 minute limit. Masks are required unless seated and eating/drinking. Entrance will be via the Peabody Deck and reservations will be required, see hostess to make a reservation.

Price includes lesson only, and you must also reserve a lift ticket in advance. If you need equipment, please go to the rental page for purchase. You will need to select a rentals pickup time that allows you to make it to your lesson on time (allow a minimum one hour prior to lesson time)

Upon completion of your purchases you will check in at Notchview Guest Services, pickup your rental equipment in the Peabody Lodge if needed and then meet your instructor next to the Peabody Quad Chairlift in the main base area at one of the following times 9am, 11am or 1pm.


We now require online reservations. for further information please contact Cannon Snowsports (603) 823-8800 x787. In the event that we sell out on any given day, we will happily put you on a waiting list. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 24 hours prior to the date of your reservation, you will not be charged. If you cancel during the 24 hour period you will be charged 50% of the reservation. If you fail to show you will be charged in full.

Overview

Nestled in Franconia Notch State Park, Cannon Mountain plus the additional 98 acres of the Mittersill Area, offers skiers and riders the highest ski area summit and longest vertical drop in all of New Hampshire. Home to the New England Ski Museum at the base of the iconic aerial tramway, 282 skiable acres entertain skiers and riders on 81 named trails and glades. 10 lifts including the aerial tram provide access to terrain rated 21% beginner, 47% intermediate, and 32% expert. With 97% snowmaking ability, a normal season will begin late November and go through mid-April.
