Snow Reporter Comments: It’s almost time to say goodbye to 2025—and wow, what a year it’s been! We kicked things off with what we called “Dry January” with hardly any snow, followed by two and a half months of steady refreshes that set the stage for legendary spring skiing. Before the 24/25 season wrapped, we even scored a few double-digit powder days and stacked up over 300 inches of snowfall.Summer brought long, sun-soaked days filled with bike laps, huckleberry hikes, and mountain adventures. Then, almost without warning, the nights grew colder, the days shorter, and our minds turned back to winter. While it feels like the season is still finding its rhythm, we’re taking a moment to reflect—and feeling more grateful than ever. These past few days, we’ve been soaking in the incredible views of Lake Pend Oreille, exploring newly opened terrain, and reliving some of the year’s best moments. We don’t know exactly what the new year will bring, but we do know this: any day on the mountain is a good day. Cheers to all the good days ahead! -TP  What's going on this week?Tonight: NYE Party in Taps! $35 cover at the door, DJ Lady Oda, Champagne toast at midnight and more.Tonight: Twilight Skiing:  Twilight Skiing tickets are $50 online or at the window, but you can save big if you buy online 24hours in advance. (Day tickets are valid until 7pm too!) Heads up: The holiday night skiing schedule ends NYE so there will be No Twilight Skiing on Thursday. Regular Twilight Ski Hours start this weekend: open Fridays and Saturdays from 3-7pm. Friday: Moonlight Snowshoe HikeAs always, check out our Events Page, or This Week at Schweitzer Looking to come up and stay? Check out the Stay More, Save More Flash Sale - Save 20% off lodging when you stay 4 nights starting Jan 4 through Jan 16. Or better yet, save 25% when you stay 5 nights or more.Important Reminder: Ski Patrol is asking everyone to please respect all ropes and closures, they are there for your safety AND the safety of our staff. Exploring might look tempting, but please stay out of closed terrain. Duck a rope and lose your pass.  We will open more terrain as soon as conditions safely allow. With the holidays upon us, extremely limited terrain, and early season conditions - please take it easy out there, stick to the groomed trails, ski with caution and courtesy,  brush up on your winter Safety tips, and enjoy!   Nordic Update: All trails are marked as open but not all have been groomed. GRR is still very thin so we highly recommend accessing the Nordic Trails via Lower Overland. Snowshoe trails are marked as open but Rolling Thunder is not ready. Check the printable snow report for updates on grooming.  Snowbike status is Green, but if you are sinking, or creating a rut, please come back when conditions are firmer. Help us save the snow we have and make it easier on the groomers.
