Snow Reporter Comments: January 16th, 2:05 PMAdventurers, assemble! The gateway between kingdoms is making its debut. Slide Brook Express begins its season at 10:00 AM tomorrow, unlocking a full mountain-to-mountain quest across Sugarbush. Grab your crew, grab your stoke, and hop aboard. Tomorrow's forecast calls for cloudy skies and beautiful temps settling into the high teens to low 20s at the summit and mid 20s to low 30s at the base. Plus, a chance of a light snow shower during the day could bring a few more inches. Look forward to firm and fast groomers for your carving appetite and firm, packed-powder conditions on natural terrain. Snowmaking at Lincoln Peak is firing on Hotshot, Waterfall, Lower Hotshot, and Slowpoke. At Mt. Ellen, Brambles and Inverness are getting some refills; snowmaking is planned to shut off before opening lifts.We will be getting down on over 450 skiable acres served by 16 lifts and 106 open trails, 44 of which received fresh grooming overnight. Castlerock and North Lynx lifts will be spinning tomorrow from 9:00 AM–3:45 PM. All natural terrain is suggested for experts only, as conditions are variable. Check out Gate House terrain for some mellow and easy-going groomers, perfect for the kiddos, beginners, or anyone looking for a good time. Inverness will be reserved tomorrow for race training from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM.Operations are moving to weekend hours, meaning GMX, Super Bravo, and Heaven's Gate will kick things off loading at 8:00 AM, followed by all other scheduled terrain lifts at 9:00 AM. Sugarbush offers freestyle fun for all levels! At Mt. Ellen you'll find over 80 of the finest features on the East Coast located on Riemergasse, and another 36 features on Sugar Run (including 2 new jumps and 8 new rails) serviced by the one and only Sunny Quad. At Lincoln Peak, features on Slowpoke have been removed for a rebuild this weekend, but 7 fun freestyle features remain on Sugarbear Forest.Play Blizzard Bingo all month long!
