Snow Reporter Comments: January 14th, 6:15 AMGood morning riders and skiers!  Today the forecast calls for cloudy skies with rising temperatures settling into a comfortable upper 20s at the summit and mid-to-upper 30s at the base. We've got a mild day on tap today before a wintry mix blows in this evening, poised to deliver several inches into Thursday. As I shuffled to the office today, my feet gently settled into the pliable corduroy texture enough to know it's the type of machine groom you can't wait to synch you edges into. Look forward to top-tier groomers for your carving appetite and variable conditions on natural terrain. Snowmaking will be on pause until Thursday night when temps cooperate. We will be getting down on 478 skiable acres served by 11 lifts and 110 open trails, 38 of which received fresh grooming overnight. Castlerock and North Lynx lifts will be spinning today from 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM. All natural terrain is suggested for experts only, as base coverage has become thin and conditions are variable. Check out Gate House terrain for some mellow and easy-going groomers, perfect for the kiddos, beginners, or anyone looking for a good time.Operations have moved to weekday hours, meaning GMX will kick things off, loading at 8:00 AM, followed by all other scheduled lifts at 9:00 AM. Sugarbush offers freestyle fun for all levels! At Mt. Ellen you'll find over 80 of the finest features on the East Coast located on Riemergasse and another 36 features on Sugar Run (including 2 new jumps and 8 new rails) serviced by the one and only Sunny Quad.  Lincoln Peak is home to two mini parks featuring 12 creative elements, with a fresh rebuild on slowpoke and Sugarbear Forest. The trail Inverness will be reserved for race training today.Play Blizzard Bingo all month long! As a part of NSAA Safety Month, you can play and learn across Sugarbush this January.
