Snow Reporter Comments: January 23rd, 8:04 AM *Slide Brook Express will be closed today*Good morning riders and skiers! Last night temps dropped, and so did the snow, we picked up another 4 inches of fresh snow for your delight! Today, temps are settling in the mid to high teens at the base and low single digits at the summit. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies, along with strong winds bringing snow squalls across the mountain and pushing fresh snow to the edge of trails forming deep pockets of powder. Plus, more snow is on the horizon with expected snow this afternoon and Sunday evening. Snowmaking at Lincoln Peak is firing on Birdland, Stein's, and Snowball, and will be shutting off by the end of the day. These trails remain open, so please use caution around snowmaking as conditions vary and visibility can be low. We will be getting down on over 484 skiable acres served by 13 lifts and 111 open trails, 45 of which received fresh grooming overnight. Snowmaking whales on Hotshot, Waterfall, and Lower Hotshot have been groomed out for a beautiful cruiser today. Due to cold temperatures, Slide Brook will not be spinning today. As a reminder the general threshold to spin the lift is at least 5 degrees. All natural terrain is recommended for experts only, as conditions are variable. Today, the trails Inverness and Lower Birdland will be closed to the public due to events. Operations have moved back to weekday hours, meaning GMX kicks things off loading at 8:00 AM, followed by all other scheduled lifts at 9:00 AM. Sugarbush offers freestyle fun for all levels! At Mt.
