Snow Reporter Comments: January 6th, 2:38 PMGood afternoon riders and skiers! 2-3 inches of light fluffy powder graced the mountain overnight with several more inches expected by tomorrow! Temps will be far more comfortable today ranging from the low 20's at the summit to upper 20's and even some low 30's at the base by the afternoon.  Tomorrow's forecast calls for cloudy skies and light snow to continue into the morning. Look forward to digging your edges into some machine groomed and packed powder conditions, along with variable conditions found on natural terrain as new snow tops frozen surfaces. Snowmaking will go on pause today until temps become more conducive. We will be getting down on 430 skiable acres served by 11 lifts and 104 open trails, with 41 of those getting a fresh corduroy overnight. Castlerock lift will be spinning today from 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM. Ropes dropped on tons of natural terrain this week including Moonshine, Hammerhead, Tumbler, The Mall and more. All natural terrain is suggested for experts only as base coverage is thin and conditions are variable. Inverness will be closed today for racing events.Operations have moved back to weekday hours, which means GMX kicks things off, loading at 8:00 AM. Followed by all other scheduled lifts at 9:00 AM. This weekend, look forward to Ikon early ups on Super Bravo loading at 7:30 AM- for Ikon pass holders looking to score some fresh cord and untouched powder before lifts open to the public.  Sugarbush offers a wide range of freestyle parks, whether you’re just starting out or training for competitions, we’ve got you covered.
