Snow Reporter Comments: January 9th, 1:34 PM*Northridge Express, Summit, and GMX are currently on wind hold* *Inverness is now open as an alternative*Good afternoon riders and skiers! Today’s the perfect day to explore! We’ve officially hit 100% open terrain, and recent warm weather has created beautifully soft snow, ideal for carving turns and enjoying every inch of the mountain. Tomorrow's forecast calls for similar temps in the high 20s to low 30s at both the base and summit. Tonight, temps will fall below freezing, creating firm surfaces in the morning. Winds could affect lift operations tomorrow. Look forward to firm groomers in the morning that will soften throughout the day, along with variable conditions on natural terrain. Snowmaking continues to be on pause until temps become cooperative. We’ll be getting down on 484 skiable acres served by 12 lifts and 111 open trails, 33 of which received fresh corduroy overnight. Castlerock Lift will be spinning tomorrow from 9:00 AM to 3:45 PM, and hiking access to North Lynx terrain will be open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. All natural terrain is suggested for experts only as base coverage has become thin and conditions are variable. Inverness trail will be closed tomorrow for racing events.Operations will switch to weekend hours starting tomorrow, which means GMX, Super Bravo, and Heaven’s Gate kick things off, loading at 8:00 AM. Followed by all other scheduled lifts at 9:00 AM. Tomorrow, Ikon Pass holders can score some early turns during Ikon Early Ups. Super Bravo will be loading at 7:30 AM for Ikon pass holders before opening to the public at 8:00 AM.
