Snow Reporter Comments: March 17th, 1:27 PM*All Mt. Ellen lifts will be CLOSED for the day**Super Bravo and Heaven's Gate are closed for the day*Happy St. Patrick's Day riders and skiers! A light dusting of snow landed across the Bush overnight. Temps dropped below the freezing mark this morning and will settle into the mid 20's at the base and mid-teens at the summit. Expect firm frozen granular and variable conditions across the mountain today.  Partly cloudy skies and gusty breezes are expected this morning so take it slow until you know and stay tuned to the snow report for up-to-date lift operations. We'll be getting down on 232 skiable acres with 7 scheduled lifts, and 22 of 45 open trails groomed.Due to temps staying above freezing in the evening it limited our grooming window to a handful of beginner terrain. As temps drop through the morning and fall below freezing by opening bell, ungroomed and natural terrain will firm up significantly. All of our non-groomed terrain will be for experts only with a select mix of groomers off the Gate House side offering the most consistent skiing. It might be the kind of day to sneak in a few turns and then grab a Guinness to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day.GMX remains closed, check out the latest State of the Mountain blog for more info. Tomorrow, Inverness will get the party started at 8:00 AM and Northridge at 8:30 AM. All scheduled lifts will spin at 9:00 AM. Slide Brook Express and Castlerock will be closed for the foreseeable future due to a lack of snow on the evacuation roads. Inverness will be reserved for race training all day tomorrow.  With Pride Weekend and another round of fresh snow in the forecast, it’s shaping up to be a weekend you definitely won’t want to miss.  The legendary Sugarbush Parks crew has been hard at work the past few days rebuilding Reimergasse at Mt. Ellen. It's back open with over 60 features ready to fill your freestyle needs! At Lincoln Peak, Slowpoke has 14 intermediate features, and Sugarbear Forest is home to 7 beginner freestyle elements. Sugar Run will be closed Wed - Fri as the crew builds the course for the 10th Annual Sidesurfers Banked Slalom taking place this Saturday. There's plenty of fun to be had both on and off the hill this winter, so check out all our winter events. Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of music and merriment! Today, March 17th from 3–6 PM, we’re bringing the St. Paddy’s spirit to life with live music at the Green Mountain Lounge – Rock out with The Detonators, delivering high-energy tunes to keep the party going. All Lincoln Peak uphill routes are currently open.
