Snow Reporter Comments: January 11th, 6:12 AMGood morning Sugarbush shedders! Last night, groomers transformed frozen surfaces into beautiful corduroy, and with an inch of wet, heavy snow from Mother Nature, today is shaping up to be a must-ski day on the mountain. Forecast for today calls for cloudy skies with temperatures in the high 20s at the summit and low 30s at the base. Look forward to top-tier groomers, along with firm, variable conditions topped with wet, heavy snow on natural terrain. Snowmaking continues to be on pause until temps become cooperative. We’ll be getting down on 484 skiable acres served by 15 lifts and 111 open trails, 48 of which received fresh corduroy overnight. Castlerock and North Lynx lifts will be turning tomorrow from 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM. All natural terrain is suggested for experts only as base coverage has become thin and conditions are variable. Inverness trail is reserved today for racing events from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Check out Gate House terrain for some mellow and easy-going groomers, perfect for the kiddos, beginners, or anyone looking for a good time.Operations have switched to weekend hours: GMX, Super Bravo, and Heaven’s Gate kick things off, loading at 8:00 AM. Followed by all other scheduled lifts at 9:00 AM. This weekend, Ikon Pass holders can score some early turns during Ikon Early Ups. Super Bravo will be loading at 7:30 AM for Ikon pass holders before opening to the public at 8:00 AM. Sugarbush offers freestyle fun for all levels! At Mt. Ellen you'll find over 100 of the finest features on the East Coast located on Riemergasse and Sugar Run.
