Jan. 14th, 2025, 2:53 PM: Ah, the blissful peace after a perfect pow day...but wait, we may have a bit of a repeat on tap for tomorrow!! We could see up to 4" by midday tomorrow from the on-and-off snow showers we'll see throughout the night and into the day...and then more tomorrow night. So, get your booties to the Bush and enjoy the goods! But please bundle up as it'll be a wee bit chilly (highs of 8 at the summit and 18 at the base featuring a gnarly wind chill). We're also expecting decent wind, so again, cross your fingers that Mother Nature spares our beloved chairlifts like she so kindly did today!
GMX leads the pack at 8:00 AM, and all other scheduled lifts run from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, besides our upper mountain lifts which spin until 3:45 PM. Castlerock will be open for hiking from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM via the Long Trail.
People of the park, rejoice! Riemergasse is open top-to-bottom, now with 77 features, serviced by the one and only, dearly beloved Sunny Q! And be sure to check out the 4-feature park at the bottom of Straight Shot and beginner park on Sugarbear Forest, also with 4 features.
There will be snowmaking on Lower Jester, Ripcord, and Lower Ripcord at Lincoln Peak and on Sugar Run and Straight Shot at Mt. Ellen.
All uphill routes are open. You can check out those specific routes here.
Do YOU know The Code?! The National Ski Areas Association is dedicated to promoting safety and responsibility on the slopes. Skied Sugarbush 12/20/24 the day they opened Mount Ellen for the season. It was amazing. Fresh snow made turns so enjoyable. This mountain has so many trails, and I found trails for all the different all mountain skiing one couldn't. Great mountain!
