Snow Reporter Comments: January 19th, 1:30 PMGood afternoon, skiers and riders! This weekend has been full of amazing skiing and fun here on the mountain. Tomorrow's forecast calls for cloudy skies with light snow showers during the day, and a drop in temps, settling at low single digits at the summit and high singles to low teens at the base. Lift operations may be affected by winds and cold temps. Look forward to a plethora of firm and fast groomers with frozen granular conditions across the mountain. Snowmaking at Lincoln Peak is firing on Hotshot, Waterfall, Lower Hotshot, Overshot, and Second Thoughts. At Mt. Ellen, Brambles is getting some refills; use caution around snowmaking as conditions vary and visibility can be low. Some these trails will remain open but are recommended for advanced skiers and riders as conditions are variable. We will be getting down on over 450 skiable acres served by 13 lifts and 110 open trails, 48 of which received fresh grooming overnight. The longest high-speed chairlift in the U.S., Slide Brook Express, will be spinning again tomorrow for a breathtaking ride between mountains. All natural terrain is recommended for experts only, as conditions are variable. The trail Inverness will be reserved tomorrow for race training. Operations are moving back to weekday hours, meaning GMX will kick things off loading at 8:00 AM, followed by all other scheduled lifts at 9:00 AM, with the exception of Slide Brook at 10:00 AM.
