Snow Reporter Comments: January 20th, 1:25 PMGood afternoon riders and skiers!  Another two inches of snow has fallen since opening bell with snow showers expected to linger into the afternoon. The forecast calls for cloudy skies and a drop in temps, settling into the low single digits at the summit and high singles to low teens at the base. Look forward to a variety of firm and fast machine groomed surfaces with packed powder conditions scattered across the mountain.  Snowmaking at Lincoln Peak is firing on Hotshot, Waterfall, Lower Hotshot, Overshot, and Second Thoughts; please use caution around snowmaking as conditions vary and visibility can be low. Snowmaking trails at Lincoln Peak will remain open but are recommended for advanced skiers and riders as conditions are variable. We will be getting down on over 459 skiable acres served by 13 lifts and 109 open trails, 38 of which received fresh grooming overnight. Even the iconic Stein's Run will be smoothed out again overnight for your favorite fall line delight. The longest high-speed chairlift in the U.S., Slide Brook Express will unfortunately be on "cold-hold" again tomorrow because of frigid temperatures. Note: that Slide Brook has a temp limit of 5 degrees and goes on "cold-hold" for guest safety if temps drop below that threshold.  All natural terrain is recommended for experts only, as conditions are variable. The trail Inverness will be reserved for race training. Operations have moved back to weekday hours, meaning GMX kicks things off loading at 8:00 AM, followed by all other scheduled lifts at 9:00 AM. Sugarbush offers freestyle fun for all levels! At Mt. Ellen you'll find over 80 of the finest features on the East Coast located on Riemergasse, and another 27 features on Sugar Run, serviced by the one and only Sunny Quad.
