Most people associate winter with ski passes, but a number of offerings unlock a treasure trove of adventures in the off-season, too, including scenic gondola rides, bike park access and lodging discounts.

If you’re looking to reap the benefits of the Ikon of Epic pass, it’s important to note that summer offerings typically kick in by purchasing a pass for the upcoming season. For example, a 2025/26 pass will not roll over into summer, but if you’ve already scored your 2026/27 pass, you can take advantage of summer opportunities.

Here’s some advice on using your ski pass for summer fun, along with some ski resorts offering incredible experiences.

Multi-Resort Passes with Summer Perks

To get the best deals and summer access, we recommend purchasing season passes early. The Ikon and Epic pass are both on sale now. Find a comparison here

Ikon Pass

The Ikon Pass is one of the largest multi-resort pass offerings, and along with winter access to over 70 destinations, it allows summer adventures at a number of ski resorts. Skiers and snowboarders who purchase their 2026/27 Ikon or Ikon Base pass this spring can take advantage of one (Base Pass) or two (Ikon) free bike park days at select locations. Note that the following blackout dates apply: July 3-5 and September 4-7, 2026. Many resorts also offer lift ticket discounts to mountain biking pass holders. Check with your selected resort for details.

The 2026/27 Ikon and Ikon Base passes also include scenic chairlift and goldola rides at 16 destinations, including Stratton, Big Sky, Crystal Mountain and Palisades Tahoe. Note that redeeming these rides counts as a pass scan, which means it will no longer be eligible for the Ikon’s new full refund program.

Epic Pass

Epic gives Epic and Epic Local pass holders free summer lift and gondola access to the same Vail-owned and operated resorts included with their ski pass during winter. Epic Pass holders also receive 20% off food, lodging, bike rentals and rounds of golf. Be sure to check the details of where the discounts apply, as each Epic resort has slightly different offerings. Vail, for example, has free lift access to the Eagle Bahn Gondola, while Keystone and Park City guests can access lift rides for scenic views and mountain biking and enjoy 20% off rounds of golf. In Canada, Epic pass holders can enjoy free scenic lift rides at Whistler Blackcomb and 20% off food and drinks, lodging, and bike rentals.

In California, just north of Lake Tahoe, Northstar offers a wide-range of summer activities like ziplining, hiking, Northern California’s largest bike park, and outdoor yoga. Epic Pass holders can enjoy free scenic lift rides, golf discounts, and 20% off lodging, food, and bike rentals. On the other side of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly offers one of the most beautiful scenic gondola rides for Epic Pass holders, featuring stunning views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. On the East Coast, many of Epic’s resorts offer free scenic lift rides to pass holders. Additionally, those heading to Mount Snow and Okemo can enjoy food, lodging, and bike rental discounts. Mount Snow also has golf discounts for pass holders.

Power Pass

While the Power Pass is one of the newer multi-resort winter pass options, it offers some solid summer perks. Unique to the Power Pass is access to Spider Mountain Bike Park, a year-round bike resort. Power Pass and Power Pass Select holders get unlimited access to Spider Mountain Bike Park in Texas until April 2027, while Power Pass Core holders can enjoy four days at the bike park. Power Pass holders who purchase a 2026/27 pass early in the spring also get two mountain biking days at Lee Canyon, Brian Head, Pajarito, and Purgatory. The Power Kids Pass also offers unlimited mountain biking access at those resorts.

Additionally, the Power Pass also offers discounts for those who would rather spend their summers on the green than on a bike. The Power Pass and the Power Pass Select include five free rounds on weekdays (Mondays through Thursdays) at Birdie Ranch or Bison Golf Club, both located in Show Low, Arizona. Pass holders are also eligible for 25% off golf prices for another six rounds. These pass holders also receive additional discounts on restaurants, retail, and lodging at specific resorts. Check out the Power Pass website for additional benefit details.
