[R314R, Park City Mountain Resort] has become the latest American ski and snowboard resort to produce a mobile application that keeps its visitors up to date on where they are, where they’ve been and what they’ve done.

A special feature permits users to reload their lift ticket from their mobile device. This feature allows guests to add another day to their passes – and continue on through the resort’s new radio-enhanced access gates -- without having to go to a Park City Mountain Resort ticket window.

Other features include a tour of the mountain that directs the skier or rider to certain areas according to ability; check on lift lines and conditions in real time; track daily data on number of runs, vertical feet, distance, speed and other statistics; and share those stats and photos through Facebook and Twitter.

The new app, available free for iPhone, iPad and Android platforms, can be downloaded through iTunes by clicking here, or Android Market by clicking here. Apple users must have iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad, and requires iOS 4.2 or later. The Android app requires at least Android 2.2.

Park City joins resorts such as [R482R, Vail], [R493R, Whistler Blackcomb], [R507R, Winter Park] and [R391R, Windham Peak] with apps that keep the skier and snowboarder up to date on their activities on the mountain.
