Overview

Temple Basin Ski Area is located on the Main Divide of the Southern Alps at the heart of Arthur's Pass National Park. Temple Basin is situated along the Craigieburn Range and requires a 45-60 minute hike from the highway to reach,

Temple Basin is a club based ski field with a relaxed atmospheres that welcome skiers looking for some adventure and fantastic terrain. Temple Basin is home to the Canterbury University Snow Sports Club.

The ski area has teamed up with snowkidz.com to provide supervised ski weeks for children during school holidays.

Inside Scoop

Temple Basin takes some effort to access but provides a charm that is lost at bigger resorts. Temple Basin is a great resort for those looking to earn their turns.

Ski and snowboard rentals are available. Ski and snowboard lessons, and limited accommodations are also available.

Temple Basin is also host to avalanche awareness and mountaineering courses for all ability levels.
