Discovery Ski Area - Christmas Day skiing was great. Not “epic” but really good for this time of year. Front mostly groomed, back has a few rocks to watch for.

Discovery Ski Area - Sweet turns today on 3-4 inches of new over some pretty firm old snow. Can't beat a sunny spring day with no crowds!

Discovery Ski Area - Snow was Gucci today it was knee to waist deep powder in the morning but got a little crusty in the afternoon. It was gnarly though hopefully next week will be like that.

Discovery Ski Area - 3/15: Raining earlier in the day. Sluice box, silver bow almost unskiable. Berkeley getting pretty bare too. Back side in better shape but snow is soft and thin pretty much everywhere.

Discovery Ski Area - Skied 3/10. Too icy for me to ski in the morning, slushy but skiable in the afternoon. Definitely spring skiing- 50 degrees F, blue skies, skied in my tee shirt. While the front side was slushy in the afternoon, the back side was still a bit icy. Some bare spots present.

Discovery Ski Area - Another X day at the Disco. Only two inches from the storm but use it or lose it. Very nice on the front groomers and backside ridges, fingers and east bowl. Seek and you shall find. Thanks Disco.

Despite spring conditions in December, a great day! Still not everything open, and if you are going to the backside or want to ski Berkley more than once, bring your rock skis. Spent the day on Southern Cross, Red Lion as Gold Big with the kids, an those were great. Berkley is fun, but unless you know what you are looking for an can ski a pretty straight line without fish-tailing your backs, if wait for new snow before heading there or the backside.

Skied Goldbug and Red Lion all day with the kids, which was great for them. Snuck over to Berkeley without them. Not bad, but some rocks hidden under the loose snow. 10-12 more inches will help a lot!
