My *very* in-the-know cousin brought me here one year... I live pretty far away from Montana, so while I was out there visiting him I was like "Why don't we go to Big Sky?" Well...
The lift tickets were dirt cheap, there were no lift lines, there were *very* few other skiers and riders on the mountain, and we had the soft hiss from untouched snow underneath our skis all day. I'd been to Breck, Copper, Steamboat, Vail, Keystone, Winter Park, Beaver Creek, Snowbasin, Whistler, etc. and only Whistler had better skiing. *Only* Whistler. Discovery is not as big, but... for the lack of lift lines, amazing prices, and most of all the incredible snow and untouched... everything, it's truly amazing. It's one thing to like a ski area. It's another when your concept of how good skiing can truly be gets permanently changed. Of all the skiing I've ever done, nothing has ever compared to the pristine and untouched snow and air of Discovery.
