I’ve always heard mid west skiing was not worth doing. I am from the east and have skied all over the country. I was here for work and figured I would check it out. Admittedly they have had very cold weather which has helped with snowmaking. The snow was excellent and a good bit of the mountain (hill) Is open. The snow was an excellent shape. Nicely groomed and lots of corduroy even late in the day. Not much in the way of crowds. Even late in the afternoon when the school crowd came, there was still plenty of space. They were making a ton of snow. Friendly staff, especially in the ski shop and rental area. I would go again if I was in the area. If you are local and you haven’t gone, why not?

Our first time out this year and we had a blast. The place was mostly open and today - no lift lines! Definitely will be a new Xmas eve tradition. No ice, great granular.

Good night skiing - little more grooming and front runs will be smoother. Ones to left in front were better although not as steep.
