Ski China Peak - Yesterday's Report - Warm in the morning, windhold for an hour. Upper half was solid. By mid day, the whole mountain was fantastic as the temp fell. I'm not sure the reason, but the snow park was out of commission. All in all, a great day. - © Captain Nomad

Ski China Peak - Can't ask for a better last sunday or this Saturday. Just when you think winter is over....the mountain transforms and reinvents itself with a hefty dump of white magic. Ski it while you can....and then Pray for more!

Ski China Peak - Monday was unreal. Tons of powder. Snow was dry up top and a little damp down low. I could feel the hard pack underneath the fluff in some areas, which wasn't bad. - © Motha Flippin

Ski China Peak - Thursday was amazing. A foot of fresh powder. It stayed cool, no melt. But the heat is coming quick. No props to the resort for shutting down early on a powder day. They also didn't run chair 1 or 7. You get what you pay for on "slashed" lift ticket prices. You think they'd make an exception on one of the nicer days of the year. Especially with plenty of paying customers on the mountain paying Cohees bills. - © Super Funk

Conditions were not that bad until about noon when the snow began to wear down and expose a lot of obstacles. The park only has a few boxes and rails which were constantly being repaired by staff do to the low snow. A half day would be worth it.

Conditions arent the best, people should wait till another storm. Lots of rcks and obstacles still not covered and messed up my skis. Wait till more snow unless you want ice, rocks, and bad skiing.

Great opening weekend! only runs that are groomed are academy and a Tollhouse. .. or whatever the one with the mini park is called. few boxes set up... a tiny single jump... nothing to big yet. crazy lines Saturday, but that's acceptable considering its opening day. Sunday was much much better, no lift lines and bluebird sky. snow was a little icy, but it softened up around 1 and was perfect.
