A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Jackson Hole has always been one of my favorite ski destinations, but I have to say I was extremely disappointed this time around. The staff was rude and mean in some cases. I understand we all are dealing with COVID and things are difficult for all, but some of the actions I witnessed and experienced by staff was just plain wrong. I visited Steamboat, Copper, Snowshoe and Aspen all this year and customer service was so much better. Why can all those resorts able to handle COVID and still be welcoming and friendly and Jackson can't is beyond me. I actually had ski school instructor smack my snowboard with his pole and told to shut the hell up. If he wanted me to be quiet he could have been polite. The rudeness of the staff at the resort was the talk of the town this week. I am not sure if I will ever be back which is sad. I love Jackson.. and will be back in the summer, but as for the ski resort..not sure Special thanks to Aspen who is always a first class ski resort who always makes my family feel welcome. Jackson Hole is the best ski mountain in North American by far as I have been to all of the major resorts and none of them compare. There are so many chutes and off-piste opportunities on this mountain and, of course, the best backcountry skiing anywhere. If you love to ski Jackson Hole is the best.... Full Review
If you like lines, poor and slow access to the good terrain, short lifts and runs, too many beginners, even longer lines with the droves of priory ski sports school clogging everything. One word describes this resort: overated. If you are serious skier, just go over the pass or up into Montana. ... Full Review
I love Jackson Hole. Incredible terrain, snow, and variety. Sadly, they are only doing a superficial job at best of getting people to wear masks. They need a staff member at each line (and not just at the front of the line) enforcing people to wear masks... Full Review
This was our first time in JH. Loved the Teton village, very good restaurants, and easy to get off on the lifts. We are 70 and pretty good skiers but the facts are there are just limited intermediate runs on the mountain. Unlike Vail or Beaver Creek, much of the face mountain is expert terrain. Folds seem to like it that way but having visited, we will not return. Not a bad trip but unless you are really a good skier don't waste your time... Full Review
Skied on New Years Day and January 2. I can’t imagine it being more crowded during non-holiday time so I’m perplexed at the people complaining about the crowds. Maybe five minute wait at base other than first thing on tram. Great apres both downtown and Teton Village. Not a place to bring beginners or young kids. ... Full Review
It had very good powder snow and moguls with some great expert terrain and glades. The terrain parks were very fun to ski on and skiing from the summit was enjoyable

My first time here and it had been nothing but amazing. I have spent the past 2 days in the deepest powder and steepest terrain I've ever skied. Granted with all the powder you need black diamonds all day long or you would just get stuck on a blue. You do have to know where your going because there are cliffs and obstacles galore. This is one majestic mountain, think I got lucky with my timing.... Full Review
This is my first trip to Jackson after 35 years and over 2000 days of skiing. I competed in pro am mogul comps in my 20s, but have always enjoyed trees and cliffs as much as bumps and jumps. The terrain here is truly one of a kind - no real moguls, but if you want long steep lines littered with rocks, it is awesome. It is large and difficult to navigate though and it really needs a lot of base to make things safe and worthwhile. I have never wrecked a pair of skiis like I did in 3 days here. There are a lot of hazards poking through even on main runs after about 200 inches of snowfall this year. This place is not good for beginners. Having spent most of my time skiing the front range resorts of Colorado, I can’t say that the crowds here are any worse, but all of the lifts start in the same concentrated base area, so it feels extra chaotic at the bottom. The staff on the mountain is definitely not as friendly or helpful as CO resorts. They seem mad that people are here. I only saw one ski patroller on the mountain in 3 days. Finally, as far as the Lodge and Apres scene, it is way to crowded. We never bothered stopping for lunch because the lodges were insanely busy and people seemed to have a poor attitude about sharing tables. It a very international resort and that seemed to make it even less friendly. Everyone was looking out for themselves and it makes skiing less fun if you can’t share a smile in a lift line after a sick powder run. Too bad, I love the terrain, but won’t likely come back often. ... Full Review
January 2nd not a ski patrol in sight half the People were skin out of control I'm 58 years old I wanna be able to ski in to my eighties I would avoid this place like the plague during busy times. There is no concern by fellow skiers for other people and as I said there is no ski patrol. This borders on negligence. I ski Big Sky every resort in Utah. The best resort I could compare it to is squab Valley was living in California I will my ski do the same reason... Full Review
