Hogadon has had its good years and it’s bad years. Unfortunately I’d consider the past couple of seasons as bad years. New lodge looks great, but under utilized. Full kitchen, yet the food is brought up pre-made and left under heat lamps. I will say that the bar is nice, terrific views and tasty drinks. Snowpack is always an issue so I don’t hold it against Hogadon, though resorts with similar snowfall(i.e. Midwest and east coast resorts) will at least set up a terrain park loaded with features. Hogadon chooses to let great features just sit in the trees, never to be put up. This would probably attract more snowboarders which they are openly against. Bring back the Boomerang terrain park! When the snow is good, there are good runs hidden in the trees and interesting natural features which are some redeeming qualities.
Small hill, impossible to get separated
Small hill, terrible terrain park, worst snow in WY

I have been skiing at Hogadon for over 35 years. It is a beautiful place, close to town and very affordable. The runs are good, with all different type of terrain. I always enjoy my visits.
Close to home, firendly area!

Been riding this glorified sled hill for 30+ years. So grateful they decided to spend 4 million dollars on a new lodge on the top of the mountain with a bar instead of actually servicing the skiiers and snowboarders that go here by adding new grooming equipment, runs or an additional chairlift. Also no shuttle service so be sure not to drink to much. No jumps no rails runs are about 5 mins long w. a 45min wait to get to the top on the busy days. Also be sure to make way for ski patrol, and local high school ski team whom are more than happy to yell at you for breaking even a little infraction despite the fact you are only following their lines.
Good for begginers and kid friendly
Mis managment old and packed lift lines kids/ begginers on advanced runs

Tracy at Hogadon was really a great instructor. She helped me down the mountain a few years ago, and did a great job teaching my 4yr old nephew how to skii today.
Tracy was a great instructor!

Hogadons a great little ski area located just south Casper, WY.Locals says Its an attraction to the professional workers that move here. Own and operated by the City of Casper, the Lodge is pretty ratty, but management says the city replacing it by winter of 17. Rental shop guy was pretty cool, my kids lesson was great leaving time for the wife and I explore the mtn. great day on the way back from Jackson! Cafe' foods tasty!
Right off Rt 25, 20 min up the mountain
Park needs work, locals say City wont give management funding for additional staff

lostlift
Walked all over the top of the area, skied all over looking for the 3rd lift. Went in for a break, came back out again and started all over again. Never found the 3rd lift.
close to home
lost lift
smitty
After one of the best snow seasons in recent years the "Rock" (affectionate nick-name for Hogadon) will close this Sunday March 25, This comes as a shock because the ski area has had over 170 inches of snow this season and not 2 weeks ago the City of Casper management was going to extend the April 8 closing deadline to April 13, now the lifts will stop spinning two weeks early. So if you have not enjoyed the great spring skiing over the last weeks you had better get up there this weekend before its gone for 2012, Local reports had not mentioned a great deal of snow loss only the fantastic conditions enjoyed this past weekend, come on up!
15 min from downtown
Can be windy every now and then.
