Stowe Mountain Resort’s terrain is spread across two distinct peaks: Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak. Together, they offer 545 acres of skiable terrain and 126 trails, with a vertical drop of 2360 feet. The resort’s layout allows skiers to explore everything from wide groomers to steep chutes, with scenic views of Vermont’s Green Mountains throughout.

Spruce Peak is ideal for families and beginners. The terrain here includes gentle trails like Easy Street and Inspiration, served by surface lifts and slower chairs. The Adventure Zone and tubing lanes are located nearby, making this area a great base for mixed-ability groups. The terrain park on Spruce also features mellow features for those just starting out.

Intermediate skiers will find a wealth of options across both peaks. Trails like Perry Merrill and Gondolier on Mount Mansfield offer long, flowing descents with consistent pitch and stunning views. These runs are accessible via the Mansfield Gondola and FourRunner Quad, making them popular choices for cruising and carving.

Advanced skiers can explore the steeper terrain off the Liftline and National trails, which deliver challenging pitches and natural features. These runs are often groomed but retain enough character to keep things interesting. The terrain off the Chin Clip and Nosedive trails also offers a mix of moguls and speed-friendly sections.

Expert skiers will appreciate the resort’s glades and chutes, especially in the Goat and Starr areas. These trails are steep, narrow, and often ungroomed, providing a true test of skill. The resort’s snowmaking and grooming teams maintain these areas carefully, but conditions can vary—making them a favorite for thrill-seekers.

Stowe also features three terrain parks, including the Main Street Park, which offers advanced features like rails, jumps, and a halfpipe. The resort’s park system is designed for progression, with options for all levels. Whether you’re looking to hit big air or practice your first box slide, there’s a park for you.
