Snow Reporter Comments
Hello skiers and riders! The MLK Weekend storm arrived as scheduled, dropping 2 inches on the snow stake so far. Winds are definitely gusty and we could see other challenges this morning in the form of mixing precip at some elevations. Stay tuned for further updates as our crews head out on the mountain to assess the conditions. We are encouraged by the forecast though, which is calling for 6-10” of snow today and more flurries through Monday that could add a few more inches. refuse to take it easy. Last night they were hard at work, with guns running on Bear Cub and Lower Great Eastern down to Route 4. That means we should see the Skyeship Gondola Stage 1 and the Skyeship Base Lodge (with limited services) open soon - maybe as soon as Tuesday.
Killington groomers worked hard overnight too, coating nearly 60 trails in crisp corduroy. If it’s a green or blue trail, they probably groomed it last night, and they hit a couple of black diamonds too - like Cascade, Wildfire and East Fall.
