Atomic and TGR athlete Todd Ligare finds fresh snow in the trees at Snowbasin.
+

Often overlooked because of the famous resorts in Park City and the Cottonwood Canyons, Snowbasin is a gem of a resort, located 45 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport and eight miles from Ogden Valley. Snowbasin has diverse terrain ranging from beginner to expert, with three terrain parks, wide-open bowls, trees and glades, groomers and an abundance of light, Utah powder. Downtown Ogden offers a great aprés scene for when it's time to retire from the slopes.

Snowbasin - Great day today. Excellent coverage after big storm. Well groomed but also lots of extensive powder runs. More vertical and variety than I thought. Very well-run resort. - © Dave's iPhone
Snowbasin - Upper mountain is smooth cold snow. Down lower it's groomer or peril. Slow down now! - © raoul
Snowbasin - Good brush slaloms. - © raoul
Snowbasin - Good in the morning for man-made show, got a little icy, piled up and crowded in the afternoon, but still a beautiful day! - © Casey

Snowbasin is a great resort hidden away from the well known resorts in the cottonwoods. Great family friendly resort.

There are few hotels in the area for lodging. Never had to wait in line during busy times. Loved staying at Edgewater...
