Colorado, Utah, New Mexico: Two storm systems are lined-up between Thursday night and Saturday night.  A break in the snow is likely between the two elements.  The first storm system delivers light snow accumulations to ski areas in the Central and Northern Mountains of Colorado including Loveland, Monarch, and Winter Park between Thursday night and Friday night.  Moderate snow accumulations in the Southern Mountains including Wolf Creek.  Utah gets brushed by light snow by this first storm with moderate snow arriving Saturday morning from storm number two.  The second storm system delivers moderate snow accumulations to Colorado between Saturday and Saturday night.  Looking ahead, another storm system is possible by late Sunday into Monday.  In New Mexico, moderate snow accumulations arrive Thursday into Friday and possibly again Saturday night.

Wyoming, Idaho, Montana: There are two different chances for snow.  The first is minor between Friday and Saturday.  Light to possibly moderate snow accumulations at Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee, Big Sky, Bridger Bowl, Schweitzer, and Sun Valley.  Colder temps follow.  The second chance is more significant between Sunday and Tuesday.  Moderate to heavy snow accumulations.

California: Finally some moisture in the forecast.  Light snow accumulation on Saturday at the ski areas.  Moderate snow accumulation on Sunday at the highest elevations with rain mixing below.  A larger storm is possible mid-week.

Northeast: One storm system rolls through between Saturday and Sunday with a mixture of rain/snow at the ski areas.  Light snow accumulations across northern VT, NH, and ME.  A larger, colder storm system could brush the area on Tuesday.

Tomer's Take: For the best new snow, ski Wolf Creek or Taos on Friday, on Saturday ski Whistler/Blackcomb, Alta, Snowbird, or Jackson Hole, and on Sunday ski the Pacific Northwest, Loveland, Winter Park or Monarch.
