Snowmaking is king in our region and there are plenty of options for our favorite sport this winter. We have drive-to options that are ideal for day and weekend trips in the Middle Atlantic region and, of course, we can fly to world class western resorts, too.

We have compiled the latest COVID-19 information for driving and flying so you can decide the safest and most convenient ways to enjoy this ski season. Check back often, as we’ll be updating these pages as new information comes in.

We don’t have to travel super far if we’re looking for a day trip on the slopes or, better yet, a weekend away from the capital or Philadelphia. Pennsylvania, the Virginias, and Maryland are all home to high quality winter resorts for your next ski trip.

When and where do I need to wear a face covering?

Face coverings required virtually everywhere at the resort except when eating or drinking and whenever social distancing is not possible.

Where can I find the most up-to-date information or COVID guidelines?

Maryland: Mask mandate in effect for those 2 and older if 6-foot distancing not possible. All non-essential travel banned; for anyyone traveling to Maryland from another state must self-quarantine for 10 days or present a negative Covid test (This requirement does not apply if traveling from D.C., Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia.)

Regional stay-at-home order goes into effect if a region’s intensive care unit availability falls below 15 percent. Advise quarantine for 14 days; other areas (San Francisco and LA County) 10.There is a mandatory mask order for those over 2 (some exceptions apply). Order prohibits travelers from staying overnight at ski areas.
