Favorite Features
And with a DWR finish, you actually can wear this baby out in the elements without soggy consequence. We also love the body-mapped insulation that's isolated over the core, which contributes to the Unlimited's cool, unique look as well as heating/cooling performance. The large, vertical chest pockets are pack friendly and serve to store necessities and dump heat as double duty, and the sneaky thumbhole loops are there if you need them, disappearing into a diagonal seam if you don't.
On-Snow Performance
TNF's Unlimited Jacket made the perfect, lightweight companion to a shell for a range of temperatures—upper 20s to low 40s. Its mix of 800 fill responsibly-sourced goose down and PrimaLoft® Silver pack a one-two punch of water resistance and weightless, compressible performance with ample stretch and no bulk whatsoever.
Fit
Despite its designation as a slim fit, this mid layer actually runs rather generously in the recommended size per the Fit Finder. Not that we're complaining—outerwear with room to move is a no-brainer preference over the opposite option. A super easy and intuitive pull cord will lock down the hem if adjustments are needed. The arm and overall length are on point, covering just over the knuckle and hitting at mid-hip.

Room for Improvement
When being worn more casually, we do miss the convenience of hand pockets for our... well, hands. But just because something is versatile enough to be worn off the slopes doesn't mean it should be dinged points during its secondary use case. In other words, this mid layer was built to be worn as part of TNF's Steep Series™ The Mission Kit, and crush it in that context, it does. Besides, your hands can still go in the non-hand specific pockets, they'll just rest a little bit higher.
