Sport Thoma will run the ski shop at [R293R, Nashoba Valley Ski Area] in Westford, Mass., this season.

Sport Thoma is based in Lincoln, N.H., and runs the ski shops at Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley.

The shop at Nashoba Valley will hold a grand opening sale 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 6, as part of its Race Fit Weekend tent sale, which runs Friday Nov. 5 through Sunday Nov. 7.

Sale hours are noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 5; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 6; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 7.

Nashoba also is running the season's first Massacre Rail Jam Nov. 6, on snow the area will truck in to surround rails and drops.

Registration begins at 5 p.m., competition at 7 p.m. Format is a one-hour rail jam, followed by Massacre Elimination, and awards ceremony. Registration fee is $20, and also affords access to a Demo Area.

Nashoba Valley Ski Area has nine lifts with a combined uphill capacity of 11,600 skiers/riders per hour: three triple chairs, a double, three rope tows, and two conveyors; 16 trails and a glade; and 100 percent snowmaking and night skiing.

Nashoba is selling ski passes at pre-season rates. Adult Unlimited Passes are $625, and Junior Unlimited Passes for $575; prices increase $50 Nov. 15.
