Many Mid-Atlantic resorts offer discounts for college students and military personnel who have a valid I.D.

[R59R, Blue Knob], in Pennsylvania, is issuing an entire week of student discounts Jan. 25 - 29. Lift tickets are $25 each day from open to close.

Wednesdays are designated College Days at [R498R, Whitetail], [R190R, Jack Frost], and [R44R, Big Boulder], all in Pennsylvania. Whitetail's four-hour lift ticket is $30 anytime during operating hours. Lesson packages also costs $30. Military personnel get $5 off lift tickets anytime at Whitetail and sister resorts.

Jack Frost's college student day ticket is $25 and rentals cost $15. Big Boulder charges $15 Wednesday nights from 3 - 9 p.m. Rentals are $10. Members of the military, their spouses, dependents under 18, reservists and retirees pay $20 for a lift ticket and $20 for rentals Monday - Friday at Big Boulder. Weekend and holiday prices are $30 for lift tickets and $20 for rentals.

Penn State students have an easy commute for [R480R, Tussey Mountain]'s 2 for 1. The resort is near school's State College campus. The offer applies to all college students.  Buy one full or half day ticket and get a second one free.

[R369R, Beech Mountain] in North Carolina designates Mondays College Day and Junior. College students with younger siblings get a double break. The college student rate is $25 and youths 13 and under ski free.

[R88R, Bryce Resort] in Virginia is offering military personnel free lift tickets Feb. 10 and March 10. Dependants pay $20 for lifts and $20 for rentals.
