Tenney Mountain is a ski resort made for everyone. You can ski steep and narrow trails that can test the advanced skier. Also, Tenney is a great place to learn, the ski and snowboard school is very good. There is a lift of about 800 vertical feet that serves some good beginer and intermediate trails, there is even a small black diamond so intermediates and beginers can get a small taste of steep terrain. The glades at Tenney are some of the best in the east. The glades are skied by very few people since most of the people that ski tenney are beginners or intermediates. You can get fresh lines all day in the trees and on the blacks. Fresh powder can last for the whole week. However, I recommend to only go there if there are pp or pdr conditions, since their grooming and snowmaking are not good. The other drawback is the slow double lift, but it takes less time to not wait in line at tenney and ride up on a slow lift than it is to wait in long lines and go up a highspeed quad/ gondola at busier places. During a snowy season I would rather be skiing Tenney than any other mountain in new england (except cannon on a few occasions).
