Giants Ridge, located in Minnesota’s Iron Range about one hour northwest of Duluth, delivers some of the Midwest’s best skiing, riding, and year-round adventure. Originally developed as an Olympic training site, many of the mountain’s 35 trails are named after past Olympic venues, honoring its rich winter sports heritage.
The mountain features a 1,792-foot summit elevation, 500 feet of vertical drop, and a 7,000-skier-per-hour uphill capacity, with terrain ranging from gentle cruisers to steep pitches and terrain parks. Home to one of the Midwest’s most powerful snowmaking systems, Giants Ridge consistently provides outstanding conditions throughout the season. It is also the only ski area in North America offering lift-served fat biking in winter and has an extensive trail system for downhill mountain biking in the summer. Its popular Slope & Soak packages let guests unwind at the Pool & Sauna Haus after a day on the slopes.
As an Ikon Bonus Mountain, Giants Ridge welcomes Ikon Pass holders to discover its hidden stash of great skiing, mountain biking, golf, top notch amenities, and authentic Northwoods hospitality.
