Schuss Mountain at Shanty Creek Resorts is nestled in Bellaire, Michigan, and is easily accessible by car from several major Midwestern cities. The nearest major airport is Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) in Traverse City, approximately 45 minutes away by car. This airport offers daily service from major hubs including Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis. From TVC, visitors can rent a car for a scenic drive or check with local shuttle providers like Benzie Bus or Cherry Capital Cab for transport to the resort. For those traveling from Detroit or Grand Rapids, the drive takes roughly 4–4.5 hours via I-75 and US-131.

Once on-site, guests benefit from free parking and a complimentary resort shuttle that connects Schuss Mountain with the other villages within Shanty Creek Resorts. While there is no public transit directly to the mountain, the ease of car access and on-site transportation makes getting around simple.
