However, the route can become tricky for drivers without experience of driving in icy or snowy conditions, especially during a snowstorm or at night. Rail travelers can head to Kutchan Station or Sapporo and transfer to local buses, although direct shuttle options are usually faster.

For the freshest powder laps, head straight to &ldquo;Steamboat B&rdquo; on Mount Isola within 30 minutes of lift opening.
