Ski Sundown - Good spring conditions Saturday AM. Hopefully the upcoming rain and warm weather don’t do too much damage.

Ski Sundown - Snow wasnt really snow, more like packed ice, and there were alot of bumps in the trails. Everything else was very nice, and definitely coming back!

Ski Sundown - Went up Tuesday night 3-1-16 and disappointed to report the coverage is getting very thin with wicked nasty ice in spots. Team Awesome is doing as good of job as possible but this winter season is coming to a close unfortunately. El Niño was no bueno for east coast.

Ski Sundown - Great conditions at Sundown today. Snow storm in the AM and clear skies in afternoon. Finally some au naturale! Hope the storm next week shapes up for some more.

Ski Sundown - Warmed up nicely to mid 40s on Tue 1.26.16 and the snow turned soft. Best night of the season.

Ski Sundown - Pretty good night skiing tonight, some icy spots but overall a great time!

Ski Sundown - A much-needed little dump from Jonas on Saturday night 1.23.16 to add some natural snow to the mix. Gunbarrel best run on the hill tho all the racers gnarled it up by 4pm. Watch out for the wicked nasty sliders on Satan's Stairway. Snowborders should avoid Tom's Treat.

Ski Sundown - Get the fresh cord after the 6pm groomers work their magic

Ski Sundown - Sun 1/17/16- Now 100% open! Awesome work by the crew to make that happen El Niño has been no bueno for East this winter. Snow mostly crusty with some hard corn and a few slippery spots but no bare overall great coverage considering 0% natural.

So there's lots of snow but it is packed hard! A lot to do with the wind but 100% open no lift lines sunny Friday...better then work!

Despite not having any natural snow the crew has done an amazing job keeping the area operational. Both Gunbarrel and the new run Satan's Stairway are still not covered but hope the cold weather allows them to blow snow. Pray for snow!

Ice everywhere and there is no way 70 inch base depth but still plenty of snow and good night of skiing once they groomed the trails

The workers there are fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. A great day of skiing. Little slushy but to be expected with the warm weather.

Mountain is great! New snow really helped. The soft snow made skiing so much more enjoyable. The only problem I had was the bumps; the hard, ice packed, no rhythm bumps. To everyone complaining about the base, all that matters is the surface, forget about the base. Can't wait to go back!

Skied Sundown Thursday night 1.16.14. Snow was very soft but decent considering it's all machine made. No lift lines, easy parking and only $36 6-10pm. Even found some little bumps see pic. Overall no complaints keep up the good work Sundown.

If you're complaining about sundown you're expecting way too much. This is a southern New England mtn. The lines may take 2 minutes at most. The only time it's not do much fun is when ski bus kids are there. (Usually wed. Thurs and Fridays from about 3-7) other than that. It's a great mountain for ct. And they blow snow any chance they get. Even after all this warm weather they have plenty of snow. Is it vt. No. Is it Utah no. But it's out mtn. If you can't realize and remember we are in ct then you're not going to like it.

So I'm a big fan of sundown. It's 5 minutes away. I'm there all the time. Today. Blah!!! Every trail had 6' snow (ice) mounds that hadnt been groomed out yet. Just not fun. They blow a ton of snow but on days like this I wish they would put a flag up or something saying stay away. Hahaha

12.26.13 great night at Sundown though their "bunny" hill is steeper than I'd like for teaching my 8-year old son. New magic carpet (pictured) is nice addition.

Some serious ice. Some powder from yesterday. Depends on the trail. Some of the comments about this mtn are how awful it was. All ice or what not. It's a Southern New England mtn. It warms up during the day and gets cold at night. There's gonna be ice. It's not all that bad. And for a ct mtn. It's not bad at all.

conditions were great last night. 2-14. groomers r doing a great job. great sun set from canyon run .
