Reviews for Breckenridge
A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
It is an overrated ski area in my opinion. Sure it's big but a lot of the terrain is similar and not that interesting. Lots of mellow cruising runs. Can be crazy overcrowded on busy days. ... Full Review
Really enjoy this resort. Some of the chairs can be slow and there are a few when loading you could be swept off your feet. ... Full Review
Overall I love skiing at Breckenridge, they have a full array of terrain for every level and a really good costumer service.... Full Review
30 years ago they should have stopped and kind of expiation of housing and should focused on infrastructure (roads, lifts, easy of access). This is the place where the most people with most money are fighting for least resources. One of those Corporate mountain killing skiing and pleasure. Most overcrowded place ever. Popular because popular. Just like Disney World. Expensive for no reason.
The entire mountain is one big intermediate. Go to Peak 6 or Peak 10 and stay as far left or right as possible. Beautiful base, but those are corporate stores, nothing else of actual value. At 4pm it's the biggest traffic jam as I have here in Manhattan. Getting from the hotel to the top of the mountain will take an hour on average. Completely not thought through resort, but rather let's make money by building. Stupid. ... Full Review
I absolutely love Breckenridge! The town is by far the best ski town in Colorado. Not only is it family friendly, but perfect for a night out at the bar scene. I love the resort and find it rather accessible with parking and gondola rides. ... Full Review
One of our favorite ski areas. Lots of different terrain for all. Good variety of dining choices on Main St. All around a very nice area. ... Full Review
Still my favorite all around mountain for all levels. Peak 8 is my favorite along the back bowls. ... Full Review
One of my favorites in that area of Colorado on Epic pass. ... Full Review
For some reason, maybe a lack of staff, they were not making much snow and only a portion of the slopes were open, even those that looked like they should be open were closed. Only one of the food stops on the slopes was open. Despite that limitation in space they sold slope passes beyond capacity. They even had a program running that brought in thousands of fraternity and sorority kids on a deep discount. I have never seen a high-end resort that crowded and the lines that long and with the decision to give teenagers a week of accommodations, rentals, and ski passes for $1000, it created an unpleasant and unsafe situation. I had heard good things about Breck. It was my first time. I will not be returning. ... Full Review
