My new favorite resort, I was blown away by the diversity of the terrain here. It may not have the legendary back bowls that Vail does, but since it's less travelled, you can find stashes of powder here days after snowfall. Grouse was still closed, but was able to explore most everything else. I grew very fond of the Tombstone Territory, such an enjoyable glade with various sized jumps and berms. Unfortunately, they are not doing their complimentary hot chocolate and warm cookies aprés ski due to COVID. I would recommend going here instead of Vail on the weekends, this was a local tip I picked up.... Full Review

Beaver Creek is one of my favorite resorts and go to mountains. They have nice diversity of trails for all levels. Some of the great things are that they have a nice amount of green trails at the peak of the mountain which you don’t get at many resorts. Also, you to hang around for the Apres hot coco and chocolate chip cookies. It’s what they’re known for.... Full Review

Need to hire more help to maintain mountain. Lift operators just sit and do not make an effort to keep the access ramp in good shape or help with the lift. Grooming very inadequate. Not what we are used to. Disappointed ... Full Review

I have skied here 6 or 7 times over the last few years and have explored the whole mountain. I am impressed at how large it is, how fun it is for beginners, and how nice the village is, but that's about it. Beaver Creek is huge, but I had it feeling really small the last few times I've been. It's a lot of are filled with nothing fun in particular. I'm very into advanced and expert terrain and generally go for steeper and more challenging runs. Unfortunately, there was nothing here to challenge me. There is no where near enough tree skiing for my likes, the double black diamonds can hardly be called that (though the stone creek chutes are fun, they are way too short), and the most fun I had was going so far out of bounds that I could have been in a different zip code. There's a lot to see for your first few visits, then it becomes a resort with an empty soul.... Full Review

This resort has excellent blue and green runs. My wife normally skis the beginner terrain but found herself confident on the majority of runs. We stayed at the Charter (1/27 - 2/1) and it was reasonably priced for a one bedroom loft condo. The Charter is located within a short walk to the village which has a large number of dining options, stores, and ice skating rink. Just a word of warning, skiing is not cheap and the cost of food and drink is at the higher end. I would recommend stopping at the local grocery store in Avon and pass on the village store which prices on basic items (laundry soap, eggs, bacon, etc...) seemed high. Overall the resort was great and we had a wonderful time. I've recommended to the resort to provide additional details with the Epic Mix app and on mountain photography which either are not fully explained on their website. ... Full Review

I have enjoyed BC over the years and if you don’t like crowds and want some decent terrain it’s great. But... I had a terrible experience there this morning unfortunately. I am a powder hound that gets up early and stands in line for a few epic first turns on good powder days. I tried that at BC this morning since it wasn’t a morning scheduled to have first runs by customers paying extra and they had gotten good snow. I get there early and get the first spot in line only to see 100’s of employees carving up the mountain for an hour before the resort let me and the rest of the normal paying customers up. This is not a problem at all if the resort is transparent. I could have chosen another resort and gotten my first tracks had I known. Maybe this info is buried somewhere on their website but I can’t find it if it is. So a great powder morning wasted. Never again BC. ... Full Review

Great if you’re some rich ceo who wants to ski very mediocre runs. Awful for everyone else. Expensive, poorly indicated runs that lead to dead end private properties (requiring 1 mile uphill backtracking) bad grooming and EXPENSIVE (worth mentioning twice). Save your money and time and hit any of the much better resorts (Breckenridge, keystone, Loveland)... Full Review

last years lack of snow withstanding. This ski resort has it all. You can go super posh all the way to qute reasonable; per lodging. Excellent choice and range of restaurants. The skiing is the jewell in the crown. If you're a beginner you have your own little areas. Intermediates have some of the best intermediate crusing terrain on the planet...for experts, Birds of Prey, Grouse and Rose Bowl keep your interest way up...Friendly staff, world renown ski school and Colorado snow....fantastic....
