Snow Reporter Comments: Winter's rollercoaster. Well, this had to happen sooner or later so here goes my first less than ideal morning report. This weather system was always going to bring with it high humidity and borderline freezing levels and unfortunately it's just a touch to warm at the moment. Overnight the low hovered just above 0 and currently the temperature is bang on 0 degrees. It's foggy, there's a strong SSE wind gusting up to 80 km/h and right now it's drizzling in the village. With the strong winds expected to persist please keep an eye on lift status as some of the upper lifts may be affected by wind hold. Although the weather may be challenging the snow on the groomers will be soft and forgiving particularly lower down in the valley where the visibility will be better. In other news, starting today the Big D will open at 9:00am daily. This allows our operations team the time they need to set up the terrain and features safely, so they're ready for you to enjoy at their best. The Big D Chair will continue to run until 5:00pm each day. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you out there! Today's definitely a day for your best technical outerwear and a positive attitude. Rug up for the windchill, take regular breaks and have a fun one. Cheers, Burner.
