Massanutten, located in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, offers a compact yet dynamic ski experience with 82 acres of skiable terrain. The resort sits between 1,750 ft and 2,925 ft in elevation, with a vertical drop of 1,175 ft and reliable snowmaking across all trails. Though annual snowfall averages 16 inches, the resort’s snowmaking system ensures consistent coverage throughout the season. With 23 trails and 7 lifts, Massanutten is designed to accommodate skiers of all levels. Trail difficulty is well balanced: 27% beginner, 43% intermediate, and 30% advanced. Families will appreciate the dedicated learner’s area, two terrain parks, and 14 tubing lanes. The resort also features a halfpipe and six park rails, offering freestyle options for riders looking to mix things up. Night skiing is available across much of the terrain, adding flexibility for late arrivals or those who prefer evening laps.
