Mountain has unfulfilled potential, but currently it is nightmare to ski based on lack of adequate snowmaking and grooming.Full review

My daughter (11) and I had a blast. The conditions were incredible. The mountain was 100% open and every trail we went on was in perfect shape. I can’t wait to get back up there next weekend

Skied Mt Ellen on Sat 2/1 because we figured the rest of Sugarbush would be crowded. Had plenty of company but not too crowded and really great snow to play in. Sugarbush/Mt Ellen has the best groomers and snow making in New England, seriously! Mother nature gives SB a decent base and they know how to make it better. We enjoyed soft turns and no hard pack all day, especially appreciated after going the next day over to Loon in NH where it was noisy hard pack on every run.

We were pleasantly surprised at the great conditions today, plenty of snow cover, no ice, most of our favorite trails to choose from. Murphy's Glade was as good as it's ever been as was Lynx North, although Spring Fling was a bit hidden under those major whales of stored man-made snow which will no doubt be groomed away for the weekend. We were happy to take a Friday off and best the weekend crowds. Maybe Saturday is a good day to ski Glen Ellen instead.

What a day on Monday snowed off and on night prior and during the day. Powderstashes and pillow moguls everywhere .quads burning on the blues by lunch! Most good trails open on Lincoln peak but notably not the traverse trail to mt Ellen forcing Some to drive and others to shuttle

The heavy wet snow from yesterday froze solid overnight post-grooming and the snow that fell after that has been taken by the wind. Conditions are very icy with little loose snow. Woods have wind slab and ice. Be careful out there today! Tomorrow (Monday) should be better after they groom it in. This is unfortunately another very cold after very warm cycle we’ve seen so much of this year.
