Smugglers' Notch Resort - Smuggs never disappoints. We skied all day on Sunday Feb 9, 30+" new snow in past few days, very cold, no wind, no crowds! Both Madonna and Sterling peaks were in top shape. Friendly skiers ad boarders and great lifties. Tough to pick a favorite run: Upper FIS, Chilcoot, Rumrunner, Black Snake and Practice Slope.

Smugglers' Notch Resort - Caught two sparkling days at Smuggs. Powdery bumps on both mountains, sick glade skiing, and coolest locals! They had the snow, and lift lines were short. Corned up nicely both afternoons

Smugglers' Notch Resort - Warm and sunny then fog and rain. Only about 30 trails and the snow was rapidly melting. Conditions not bad. Had fun.

Smugglers' Notch Resort - The picture says it all. Classic east coast. No one here after the first few hours. I got here at 9 and it started to downpour. A nice steady freezing rain. After 3 hours I had a nice glaze of ice on my whole body, clothes soaked, ya know....cold. After lunch we headed back out and it was starting to sleet. Only 3 lifts were open due to ice delays. The snow was dumping but also raining depending on the elevation. Simple explanation is 4-6" of snow from yesterday, covered with 0.5-1" of ice covered by a little bit of snow. Their 15-20minute lift rides didn't make any of this any better.
Regardless of the horrendous conditions, we still had fun. Not myself, but a bunch of people were hitting liftline and cutting up the crusty finish. That should be OK tomorrow. When I left at 3, there was about 1-2" of new snow on trails. With grooming and fresh snow tonight, the conditions should be fine tomorrow. Christmas and the day after will be amazing. Picture is from liftline (sorry the app flipped it sideways).

Smugglers' Notch Resort - A little icy up on Madonna. Some exposed ice patches, but skiable for the most part. Morse was perfect for relaxing runs.

Smugglers' Notch Resort - powder for days not a bad run what a great resort one of my favs but they need to upgrade these 2 person lifts to minimize these long lines

Smugglers' Notch Resort - Got snow the morning of the 18th. Needs to be groomed. 19th should be good if it stays cold. Still ice in some spots though.

Smugglers' Notch Resort - Awesome spring bluebird day. Bit icy at the base but everything open from the summit down was great. Few inches of snow at the top was nice to ride today. They blew snow last night into the morning so had plenty to ride on. Winter isn't dead just yet!

Smugglers' Notch Resort - Highland Glades had tons of powder today, while it rained down below. Hardest part is you can't just ski the top half of the mountain. While it was snowing up top it was a slush fest and raining down below. All in all top was amazing today.

Smugglers' Notch Resort - great conditions in the glades, love the terrain park in the glades. wind from the past few days blew all the snow off some of the black runs though

Smugglers' Notch Resort - most of all the mountain this past weekend was all ice, hard to turn stop or carve. worst conditions I've ever seen in vermont. felt like I was skiing in the poconos. atleast the lifts lines were short or empty when it's normally crowded. probably cause people had more fun at the bar

Smugglers' Notch Resort - Snow was alright, got tracked out by the afternoon. Glades were a little sketchy but all in all a great day of northeast skiing.
