Jay Peak, along with many other resorts across the Northeast, will fire up their snowmaking systems once again as cold air makes a return to the region.

Jay Peak - Best powder days I’ve had at jay and I’ve had many. What an epic weekend. Knee deep stashes everywhere. There was so much pow I’ve found lines and glades I didn’t even know existed yet. Flyer and tram were closed on Saturday but you could hike a bit to hit that side. Jay is the BEST

Jay Peak - Skied 12/20-12/21. Only left side of mountain was open. Bad news: goats run and angel's wiggle are an ice fest full of jerries so enjoy getting to connecting trails safely. Good news: powder is there if you know where to look. Timbuktu was sick on 12/20. The trees seemed to protect the snow from getting rained on last week and it was pristine. There's plenty of little jumps in the forest with clean runouts still too. Lift line on 12/21 was sick with lots of little bumps and rocks to air it off of and soft landings. Exhibition has an icy and sketchy entrance but once you get a quarter way in, the snow is all powder. Do not recommend jumping off the first largest cliff band straight; the landing is super flat and not filled in well. Second cliff band is perfect though. All the glades in general were pretty soft. When they open the flyer tomorrow, don't hesitate, and go straight to JFK and the woods off JFK and off Ullrs Run. The woods will be very deep, probably more so by JFK as those tend to catch windblown snow very well and they haven't been open all year yet.

Jay Peak - Amazing conditions despite wind holds on flyer and the tram, powder lines all day long and dumping POW!!!

Jay Peak - Great conditions in the woods! The groomers got skied off pretty early, that bullet proof base is starting to show but the wind blew most of the new snow into the woods. 1 - 2 ft pockets in the woods all over if you know where to look. Snowing all day so far so might pick up another inch or 2.

Jay Peak - today was an awesome day! My son and I found fresh snow on each run today. I give this a 5-star day.

Jay Peak - After the rain Jay got, the mountain became covered in ice. Fortunately the recent snow has improved conditions. Still shredded the slopes!
